Welcome
Mindfulness
"Mindfulness means paying attention in a particular way; on purpose, in the present moment, and nonjudgementally," Jon Kabat-Zinn.
With its roots in Buddhist meditation, mindfulness is an invaluable resource, a skill for living. The practice of mindfulness is a gentle yet powerful ongoing process through which we can transform the way we think, feel, perceive, behave, live our lives.
In our daily lives mindfulness can help us:
- ground and center ourselves in the present moment through awareness of body and breathing.
- calm our thoughts and emotions.
- cope better with anxiety, manage stress.
- develop a more solid, resilient sense of self.
- remain grounded and focused in challenging situations
- improve physical, emotional, mental wellbeing.
- be attentive to the interplay of thought, emotion, bodily sensation.
- gain deeper insight into our inner experience, reality.
- develop a more sensitive understanding of our interactions, our relationships with others and our responses to the world around us.
- Open the way to ongoing self-healing, emotional, spiritual growth and wellbeing.
Through practice and experience, mindfulness can become a transformative skill for living.
