Mindfulness

With its roots in Buddhist meditation, mindfulness is an invaluable resource, a skill for living. The practice of mindfulness is a gentle yet powerful process through which we can transform the way we think, feel, perceive, behave, live our lives.

In our daily lives mindfulness can help us:

  • ground and center ourselves in the present moment through awareness of body and breathing.
  • calm our thoughts and emotions.
  • lessen anxiety, manage stress.
  • develop a more solid, resilient sense of self.
  • remain grounded and focused in challenging situations
  • improve physical, emotional, mental wellbeing.
  • be attentive to the interplay of thought, emotion, bodily sensation.
  • gain deeper insight into our inner reality.
  • develop a more sensitive understanding of our interactions, our relationships with others and our responses to the world around us.
  • Open the way to ongoing healing, personal growth and wellbeing.

Through practice and experience, mindfulness can become a transformative way of being, living, an ongoing meditation.
